Journal 14: Anticipating Your Parents' Objections

Dear mom and dad
I have made a tough decision which I want to go back home. I assume that once go back to the city where I grow up, and I can find a job to support myself. I know that you have spent a lot of money and expectation on me. My old sister already told me that you really anticipate I can finish my master degree then go back home. But mom and dad, I have to told you that I lost myself and I can’t my way to pass the TOEFL test so that I allow to get in the master program. Meanwhile, you have saved a lot of money for me to study, but I stuck in this test, it seems taking forever to pass the test, that’s why I came up with this Idea.
I understood you will try to encourage me to keep going. You just concern about once I go back to my country, I can find a better job to support myself. But my enthusiasm is gone, everything is changed. I didn’t realize that this test is my biggest barrier that I have never confronted. I still want to pursue my master degree, however, if I still hurdle by this test that means it will spent more money for my pursue; and I don’t want you work so hard to support me to finish my education, that’s I really worry about. And I know you are getting old, you physical condition not as well as before. Thus, I hope you are understood why I made this decision.
